Sparrow Mail - The Silverhawk of Mail Clients - Now Only $5

Remember when you were a child, playing in-doors for fear of the sun sizzling your pale-almost-transparent geekster skin? What? You haven't reached back to that moment in therapy yet? Well, boo-hoo. Suck it up.

Back to our point… While you were cleaning your clarinet, real kids were mugging old ladies to buy smokes. While you were hopping from one couch to another with a cape around your neck imagining you were a Silverhawk, real kids were doing what all well-adjusted kids should have been doing — cultivating their pyromaniac tendencies, of course.

Ya, ya, we know, 'Sparrow' ain't the manliest product names out there, but what do you expect from 'men' who chose to code-up an email client instead of, oh, burning down a forest? Let's all breath a sigh of relief they didn't call it 'Little Pink Fairy with Golden Bubbles Mail Client for Mac OS X.'

"The coolest addition is the multi-touch gestures. You can now pinch two fingers to both open and close messages. Three-finger swipes left and right will now show and hide a message in the panel. And three-finger swipes up and down will navigate through messages. All of these require a trackpad (though two-finger swipe on the Magic Mouse opens the panel), so if you’re using Sparrow on a desktop Mac, you’ll need the Magic Trackpad. Still, very cool."
